Apple 13.3" MacBook Pro (with Retina display) dual-core Intel Core i7 2.9GHz, 8GB RAM, 256GB flash storage by Apple. Spent A LOT of time debating which macbook pro was going to satisfy my needs. I wished one thing to use principally for pictures and web whereas away from house (at house I take advantage of a Mac Mini, 2010 hooked up to a Dell U2412 which is great for photo editing). As a critical novice photographer, I exploit Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS6 heavily. My concern was having enough juice to power these two applications with velocity and ease. Most reviews really helpful getting the 15" MBP as it provided a quad core and separate graphics card to handle the editing load. Having spent some time within the Apple Store, I knew that the 15" was simply too massive for me. I contemplated getting the common MBP without retina as that machine provides the option to upgrade at a later time, which unfortunately the retina does not....however after seeing the screen on the retina, I just couldn't do it. So....I had decided on the retina MBP 13", however what about onerous drives? I REALLY wished the SSD, but the value was tough to swallow.

I finally settled on this version. I knew that 8GB RAM could be ample, as that's what I have in my 2010 Mac Mini, and it's completely ample to deal with my editing. I additionally knew that 3 years makes a world of difference in know-how, so even with the same RAM, the laptop would most likely be faster. I was hesitant on the 236GB SSD drive, but knew that 128 was utterly insufficient and I didn't want to drop the large cash for the 512 version.....so, I settled for this, realizing that I won't be dumping lots of packages on it and can preserve my excessive res. images on a transportable drive anyway. I can inform you that this laptop is phenomenal. It's most likely about 10x sooner than my Mac Mini and the boot up time of the SSD is a dream. It handles Lightroom and Photoshop with ease. The screen is a bit small on actual estate, but the clarity of the retina more than makes up for the space. This is the proper "on the highway" laptop for me. Now, if you're seeking to make this your main computer, it's possible you'll need to think twice. I just don't assume it could suffice. You'd in all probability want to spend money on the 15" with more energy and perhaps skip the retina so you can improve within the future....but for travel, I couldn't be happier with this snappy machine!

This is an awesome computer. All the most effective of a Macbook Professional and Mac Air. Transport from vendor (On Sale) was 3 days faster than indicated on monitoring and got here in perfect condition. Greatest value around. checked each retailer I could find on-line and brick and mortar and this was one of the best worth and quickest delivery option around. Positively would advocate this laptop and would suggest the seller. 2 Feedback |
