I received my Gateway all-in-one desktop a couple of days ago (by another seller). It was manufacturer refurbished and got here with no fast guide. Whereas the PC was the whole lot I anticipated and way more, the shortage of installation guide almost ruined the whole system. I was impressed with less cables tangling beneath my desk, though I nonetheless have my previous Windows Vista Jurassic at the different finish of the room that served me nicely for five years. This PC recognized and related to my WiFi instantly. The display is dazzling with the brightness. Then I received to the wireless mouse and keyboard, and my nightmare started in earnest. I installed the batteries in both of them. They both would not work. After 3 hours of fruitless efforts and a couple of emails to the vendor (waiting for the response), I lastly positioned a wifi adapter hidden contained in the mouse cover, to my dismay. That was after I've screwed up all of the configurations contained in the PC in all of the efforts to troubleshoot. Then back to undo all of the crap that I had caused myself by a reset. A easy quick information may have saved me the migraine. Now the mouse, the keyboard and the whole system work just as anticipated and more. The put in home windows eight and the touch display are very thrilling and amazing.
I researched a ton of possibilities. However this worth was proper and contemplating I used to be changing a ten-yr. old Gateway Home windows XP which continues to be being utilized by a good friend, I made a decision on the Gateway. Windows eight has proved to be no downside and works effectively with the touch screen. My one complaint was that it had no Freecell loaded however took care of that easily. The 23 inch screen is an actual joy. I also stored my Logitach backlit keyboard as a substitute of the one provided. Just a matter of private preferencee and ease of use. Saved theirs as a backup in case I spill coffee again...
